No evidence of problems with Steam. Our last recorded check found it behaving normally. That does not rule out a fault affecting only some users or regions.
Every check runs a four-tier cascade and stops at the first tier that gives a clear answer: Steam's official status feed, then a direct HTTP probe, then an ICMP network ping, and finally crowdsourced reports from visitors. Steam (store.steampowered.com) is re-checked about every 30 seconds, and this page picks up any change within 15 seconds, with no refresh needed.

About Steam
Steam is Valve's game store, launcher and multiplayer backbone for over 130 million players. Weekly maintenance (Tuesdays ~4 PM Pacific) causes brief expected downtime; anything longer usually hits login and the Community tab.
